Sending packages by airplane is nothing new, but the task could soon be taken over by drones. DHL recently completed of a three-month-long test of its automated drone delivery system, the Parcelcopter. It works with a combination helipad and mailbox dubbed Skyport, which can automatically load and unload the drone’s payload when it lands and store it in one of the station’s lockers. Testing took place between January and March of 2016 in Bavaria, Germany. The idea was to see if the drone could be used to deliver packages to areas that are remote and where standard delivery takes a long time. According to DHL, the Parcelcopter successfully completed 130 autonomous loading and unloading cycles while dealing with rapidly changing weather conditions and temperature fluctuations. Each round trip covered 8 kilometers with the drone flying 1,200 meters above sea level. Flying at a speed of 70 km/hour, the Parcelcopter was able to deliver its payload within 8 minutes of take-off. A trip that takes 30 minutes by car in winter.

We just saw Motorola do something with Android that up to now, only Windows 10 has been able to do. Motorola's OneCompute prototype Moto Mod takes the concept behind Windows 10's Continuum feature—the ability to project a Windows phone onto a PC—and ports it to Android. Shown at parent company Lenovo's Tech World exhibition Thursday in San Francisco, OneCompute could further blur the line between smartphone and desktop. OneCompute is conceived as one of the magnetic Moto Mods add-ons that can

In years to come, we might look back on E3 2016 as the transition year. Many of the biggest names in gaming have already pulled out or reduced their presence at what’s traditionally gaming’s biggest news event of the year. EA is hosting its own show, while Activision and Wargaming pulled their booths off the show floor. And rumor has it (though you know how rumors go) that E3 might abandon Los Angeles next year and head to a different convention center. Crazy. But we’ve still got at least one more of these things. Next week we’ll get an idea of what’s coming in the rest of 2016—and beyond. Plus there’s...a Doritos event happening next door? Here’s what to expect next week.
The second you look down at your phone, the world turns on you.
A wireless keyboard frees you from more than a cable. It frees you from the crummy slab you got for free with your Windows PC—does This is one category where it really pays to head to a store and try out a model you’re interested in. When we had our stack of keyboards in for review, people couldn’t help but touch and play with them. They all came with different needs and biases. There’s truly no one size to fit all, but our reviews aim to give you enough specifics to make a sound decision. See below for more on how we tested.
It’s not perfect, but this smart switch is the simplest, surest remote lighting control we’ve seen.
